Jak nainstalovat Logitech Media Server (squeezebox Server)?

Kde mohu získat nejnovější instalační soubory pro server Logitech Media Server a jak je správně nainstalovat?

(Provozuji ho na Raspberry Pi 2 a musel jsem ho několikrát přeinstalovat kvůli vadné SD kartě. Na tuto otázku tedy odpovím převážně jako připomínku pro sebe.)

Přijatá odpověď:

Upgradoval jsem na Ubuntu 20.04 a to přerušilo moji instalaci, ale přišel jsem na to, jak to znovu zprovoznit:

Po nějakém temperování jsem uvažoval o nové instalaci. Takže jsem smazal staré věci ve /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/

Pak jsem dostal nový deb-packet pro verzi 8.0 (beta) z:http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.0

Osobně jsem použil nejplatformnější verzi, ale v závislosti na platformě stačí vybrat vhodný deb:

Instalováno pomocí:
dpkg -i logitechmediaserver_8.0.0_1588799628_all.deb

Protože jsem zkoušel i starší verze a dokonce jsem zkoušel i git checkout, doufám, že mi nechybí žádné podrobnosti, které pro mě již udělal jiný skript, aniž bych si toho všiml.

Pokud instalace dpkg ještě nepřidala uživatele a skupinu, udělejte tak:

adduser squeezeboxserver
usermod -a -G squeezeboxserver squeezeboxserver

Vytvořte adresář pro soubor pid:

mkdir /var/run/logitechmediaserver

A dejte to tomuto uživateli a skupině:

chown squeezeboxserver:squeezeboxserver /var/run/logitechmediaserver

Totéž platí pro věci v /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/

chown squeezeboxserver:squeezeboxserver /var/lib/squeezeboxserver
chown -R squeezeboxserver:squeezeboxserver /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/*

Problém přichází se spouštěcím skriptem v /etc/init.d. Jednoduše to nefunguje, protože Ubuntu 20.04 již nemá start-stop-démona. Je jednoduše propojen s /bin/true, což může fungovat pro některé skripty, ale nefunguje pro logitechmediaserver. Zkoušel jsem implementaci C pro tento program, ale měl to panty, takže jsem vypustil start-stop-démona a upravil spouštěcí program podle toho.

Stačí uložit starý spouštěcí skript pryč (jen pro uložení) a zkopírovat tento obsah do libovolného editoru:

Ano, není to hezké, ale dělá to za mě a doufám, že to pomůže i vám. Musíte jej umístit do /etc/init.d pod názvem logitechmediaserver

Poté musíte spustit následující příkaz, aby byl systemctl šťastný:

systemctl daemon-reload

Stačí to vyzkoušet a spustit:

/etc/init.d/logitechmediaserver start

Měli byste být schopni se přihlásit pomocí svého webového prohlížeče na http://YourServerIP:9000/ a nakonfigurovat jej.

A otestujte, zda se znovu vypne:

/etc/init.d/logitechmediaserver stop

Když vše funguje, povolte službu:

systemctl enable logitechmediaserver.service
